M1 -In this assignment I am going to describe how the
management of human, physical and technological resources
can improve the performance of Drayton Manor
Modern society presents itself as a network of organizations
that appear, grow or disappear. In these conditions, people are
a common resource and also a vital element that ensure the
survival, development and success of the business.
Human Resources
Drayton Manor would need to use their human resources
effectively in order to become a successful company. That
means Drayton Manor must use their employees effectively by
putting them to work in a field that fits with the employees.
Meaning that the employee’s qualifications, skills and training
must match with the job role in order for the company to evolve
and achieve the goals set.
Drayton Manor will need to change a specific member of staff if
he/she do not meet the demands. If this happens the employee
will no longer do the tasks given at the first place, therefore
he/she will receive other tasks and the employee’s initial job
role will be given to a more a qualified individual.
For example if an employee who works as a zookeeper does not
comply the tasks for his role, he/she will need to be changed
with a capable person. This will improve the company's
performance because when each employee has a job that fits
with them, they will be able to finish the work fast and in an
efficient way. Also Drayton Manor will avoid spending money
and time on the process of employing new people.
An advantage that Drayton Manor has is that the managers and
directors are part of family. This will help the company because
there will be an increased confidence within the members of
the family that work for the business and this will also help the
business as the family members will be more dedicated to the
company. Also because of the increased level of confidence the
