I am going to explain the points of view of different stakeholders seeking to
influence the aims and objectives of two contrasting organisations which are
Tesco and McDonald’s.

Tesco’s aim and objective is to retain loyal people and customers. McDonald’s
aim and objective is to be its customers' favourite place and way to eat and to
provide its customers with food of a high standard, quick service and value for
money.

The first stakeholder I am going to explain the points of view of is customers.
Customers influence to the achievement of Tesco’s and McDonald’s aims and
objectives by helping them to achieve survival, breaking even, market and sales
growth and profit maximisation by their promotions such as “buy one get one
free” or 2 for 1 offers, loyalty cards and discounts which attract customers. Tesco
also promote their products by showing their competitors’ prices for the same
product or show how much the product has been reduced by from its previous
price which attract existing and new customers and encourage them to buy the
products. This is how Tesco and McDonald’s retain their customers.

The second stakeholder I am going to explain the points of view of is employees.
Employees influence to the achievement of Tesco’s and McDonald’s aims and
objectives by providing an excellent level of customer service, if they didn’t have
a good customer service then customers wouldn’t purchase any of their products
and Tesco and McDonald’s would get a bad reputation and they would lose their
customers. Tesco and McDonald’s need more and more employees as their
businesses are expanding so that they would receive a profitable amount of
income. McDonalds’ Employees need to be polite to customers to encourage
them to eat at their restaurant; if employees are rude then customers may not
want to eat at McDonald’s anymore. If Tesco’s employees are also not polite then
their customers wouldn’t go to Tesco to do their shopping, instead they would go
to one of Tesco’s competitors which means there would be less profit for Tesco.

The third stakeholder I am going to explain the points of view of is shareholders.
Shareholders influence to the achievement of Tesco’s and McDonald’s aims and
objectives by purchasing shares of the companies and investing their money and
helping the company to expand. Tesco and McDonald’s have a lot of shareholders
so they could lead them to continue growing and expanding further. Tesco and
McDonald’s need to be making a lot of profit for them to have a lot of
shareholders, if Tesco and McDonald’s are making an excessive amount of
profits, which they are, then more and more people will buy a share of the
organisation which again leads to growth and expansion. The shareholders’ role
in attracting more customers for Tesco and McDonald’s is investing their money
in to the company so they can use that money to advertise their products, create
new products and improve the company.
