Care in psychiatric hospitals

Unfortunately, a policy that needs to be addressed is that psychiatric stays for seriously

mentally ill patients are limited. Mental illness is overgrowing within the United States (U.S.) as

it does not discriminate against anyone with the need to help is at an all-time high. There is no

separation seeing those in their emotional, psychological, and even social when it comes to

mental ill-health. Doing research, I found that, the National Institute of Mental Health (NIH)

(n.d.) stated that over 51.5 million adults over 18 had been involved with some form of mental

illness in the U.S. in 2019. In Wyoming, this is happening, but all over that keeping staff at these

hospitals is difficult due to the rise or the rates.

attempts that the individuals with mental illness have put them into these facilities. The

admission requirements and still try to push the clients toward us. I chose this social problem due

services that are needed with the possibility of restrictions with a way to pay. Locally the

behavioral department services (BHS) will discharge the individual within 72 hours, or the court
