What is PRINCE2?

techniques you'll need to be an accomplished project manager. PRINCE stands for Projects
in Controlled Environments, and it's a term that's used and understood all around the world.

PRINCE2 is totally scalable, and the framework's most recent upgrade allows it to be more
easily customised for each project you work on.

PRINCE2 With over 1 million professionals, Projects IN Controlled Environments is the most
widely used project management approach. All of the skills you'll master as part of PRINCE2
will help you manage projects more efficiently and successfully. PRINCE2 can also help you
advance in your career because many companies consider knowing PRINCE2 to be a
requirement for project managers. Approximately 90% of experts claim that PRINCE2 has
aided them throughout their careers. When should you utilise it? Because the approach is
extremely adaptable and can be adapted and adjusted to meet the needs of the business
and customer, it may be utilised in a number of projects, regardless of the kind or scale.

There are seven stages of PRINCE2, the first stage is the project start up, the customer will
submit a new project and the company will decide if they can do it or not. If it is do-able for
the company then they move onto stage 2 which is where they direct the project, it is then
assessed to check if it is viable. Stage 3 is initiating the project, the project manager will
cover all parameters, for example how much it will cost, the advantages, risks, the time it’ll
take etc. After this it goes to stage 4, which is when the project is controlled by different
teams to check the performance and efficiency of every stage and if there are problems.
Stage 5 is when the project is delivered, and they check that there are not issues between
the expectations of the quality and they will provide a final evaluation. Before moving to the
stage 6 which is the boundary management, which is when the board and project manager
review the outcomes of each stage to make sure it is working. Then it is onto the final stage,
which is finalizing the project by reporting, documenting, and closing the project with end
results.
