The role of a vet surgeon:
⁃ to safeguard the health and welfare of animals

The role of a vet nurse:
⁃ second vaccinations for dogs and cats
⁃ Blood samples requested by vet surgeon
⁃ Preparing animals for surgery
⁃ Feeding patients that stay overnight or need help with eating
⁃ Grooming animals ready for surgery
⁃ Weight management for overweight cats and dogs

Referral vet - when a vet decides that they cannot provide the level of treatment
or facilities required to treat the animal the best way possible
