This document contains the essay I wrote for the course Globalisation (GEO3-3413) at Utrecht University. My essay was graded a 9.3. Further points of improvement according to my teacher: - some things I mention are irrelevant for the research question - a few mistakes in my English - some arguments are not completely convincing, they are sometimes rather speculative - make the first and last sentences of the paragraphs stronger as those are the most important But they cannot be THAT important as I got an extremely high grade lol.
