Operating System Window 10 Windows 10 gives users the ability to interact with their computer
visually with graphics. The business needs it because it is well known
among a lot of people, so training on how to use it is less of an issue.
It also gets new updates and security patches regularly to ensure
there are no bugs that can be exploited. If the business couldn’t get
windows 10, they would have to go with an older version of windows
or on by a different company. This can cause problems as older OS’s
don’t get updates, leaving the business vulnerable to attacks.
Booking System Access Access lets users create their own database where they can store data
and create reports from. Access is needed because the organisation
wants a booking system and access is a widely used database
software. If they don’t use access, they would have to use a lesser
known database software. This can be a problem because the
software they use might not have a community as big as Access, so
staff could struggle to get answers to a problem they’re having.
Anti-virus Software AVG AVG protects the user’s computer from viruses and malware. It is
needed because the business is going to be storing lots of data about
people. If they get it stolen, they could get in trouble and have their
reputation damaged. If they don’t use an anti-virus software, they are
leaving their computers at risk of being breached. This could lead to
files being stolen, corrupted and viruses attacking their system.
Browser Edge Microsoft Edge enables users to have access to websites where they
can learn about any topic. Edge is needed to let staff go onto their
