 Cryptography does two jobs to maintain this

o Non repudiation
 Both rely on similar processes
 Means that the sender or the receiver can deny the content of a data
transfer at a later date
 Real life examples
 If someone sends a message to authorise payment of a certain
amount or money but later denies this, their digital signature will
prove it came from them
o Access control
 A security measure now being used in network and computer systems
 Work by ensuring the people have access to certain things
 Access control system can monitor identification, authentication, access
approvals and accountability
