What happens when a substance has already bonded with oxygen?
No more oxygen can be bonded onto the substance because it has already bonded
with it and no more can be added on.

Why do some oxidized substances change in mass?
Because as oxygen is bonded with it, the mass of it changes and increases as it
becomes heavier.

Explain why bubbles are formed when carbon dioxide reacts with limewater

Carbon dioxide reacts with calcium hydroxide solution to produce a white precipitate
of calcium carbonate. Limewater is a solution of calcium hydroxide. If carbon
dioxide is bubbled through limewater, the limewater turns milky or cloudy white.

As hydrogen gas is highly flammable, the result is a squeaky pop sound as the

Most metals can react with oxygen to form a metal oxide. The most reactive metals
react violently when heated in oxygen, burning with a bright flame. The less reactive
metals react more slowly when heated in oxygen (combustion).

Metals will burn more brightly in pure oxygen than in air, since air is only about 20%
oxygen.
