1.1 Communicate using correct communication
methods and protocols.
Script: Check-in agent script.
Scenario - This is a scenario based on a checking in agent passenger who
encountered a problem wherein she had exceeded her baggage allowance
and the agent resolved her problem.
Staff: Next passenger please,
Staff: Hi ma’am can I have your ticket and passport. (Smile)
Pax: Yah sure here you go.
Staff: Thank you.
Staff: Do you have anyone else travelling with you?
Pax: No ma’am (with a smile)
Staff: Do you prefer a window or an aisle seat?
Pax: An aisle seat please ma’am.
Staff: Alright that’s done for you. May I know how many bags you’re
checking in?
Pax: 2 bags, one handbag and one luggage.
Staff: Could you place your bag on the luggage belt for me.
Pax: Yes sure (Placing the luggage on the belt)
Staff: Oh no you have exceeded the baggage limit by 1.5 kgs. If you
want, you could also transfer some of your items from the baggage to
your hand luggage.
Pax: Yeah sure I’ll do that. (Shifting the
items)
Staff: Brilliant that’s fine now. Thank
you, ma’am,
(Sticking the tags on bags)
Staff: (printing the boarding pass) here
you go your boarding pass and your
passport. Do you have any questions?
Pax: No ma’am
Staff: Alright …have a safe journey.
Thank you, bye.
