1. Wave Motion – the transfer of energy from one place to another without the
transfer of matter.
2. Wavefront – a line joining all the crests/troughs on a wave

8. Transverse Waves – waves in which the particles of the medium vibrate
perpendicular to the direction of wave propagation.
9. Longitudinal Waves – waves in which the particles of the medium vibrate
parallel to the direction of wave propagation.
10. Reflection – the bouncing back of a wave when it strikes a boundary.
