Introduction

In this assignment, the structure and function of the digestive system have been
researched in detail to explore the physiology of the digestive system. Nutrient
deficiencies have also been included along with treatments used to correct these
deficiencies. A dietary-related disease has also been evaluated to determine its
effect on the digestive system.

In addition to this, the gross anatomy of the digestive system has been included
within this assignment with a labelled diagram to illustrate the different
structures of the digestive system.
