Results in left atria enlarged and left atria pressure increased. ◦Subjective: fatigue, palpitations, DOE, orthopnea or pulmonary edema ◦Objective: diminished, often irregular arterial pulse. Lift at Apex, diastolic thrill common at Apex. ◦Murmur: Low-Pitched diastolic rumble ◦Best Heard: at the Apex with the patient in the left lateral position
