Let’s do the first one together!

4/7 means 4 divided by 7. to work this out we will do 21 divided by 7 which is 3. A then times that by
the top number which is 4. so, 3 times by 4 is 12. This means 4/7 of 21 is 12.

Repeat the same steps with the following questions to find the answer.

Divide the number you are trying to find.

When you found that number you times it by the bottom number.

1. 4/7 of 21
2. ¼ of 80
3. 4/7 of 63

2/5 of x is 30

To work out this answer it means that is 5 times 15 in each box. And so 2 boxes are 30. So we divide
30 by 2 and get 15 as its half of 30. And times 15 by 5 which is 75.
