, Inleiding
In de module Borgen van Kwaliteit en Veiligheid komen drie Canmedsrollen naar
voren: de rol van Professional en kwaliteitsbevorderaar, de rol van Reflectieve EBP-
Professional en de rol van Organisator.

De rol van Professional en kwaliteitsbevorderaar komt naar voren door het
onderzoeken of de geleverde zorg aan de kwaliteitseisen voldoet. De
verpleegkundige houdt zich aan de geldende wet- en regelgeving en kan indien
nodig haar zorg hierop aanpassen.
De rol van Reflectieve EBP-professional komt naar voren in het zoeken naar een
onderbouwing van het verpleegkundige handelen. De kennis die de verpleegkundige
vindt in de literatuur, wordt toegepast in de praktijk.
De rol van Organisator komt naar voren in het bevorderen van de patiëntveiligheid.
De verpleegkundige heeft een leidende rol bij veranderingen en een coördinerende
rol rondom de zorgvrager (Hanzehogeschool Groningen, z.d.)

De module Borgen van Kwaliteit en Veiligheid richt zich specifiek op het
onderzoekend vermogen, de inzet van het EBP, verpleegkundig leiderschap,
bevorderen van leiderschap, coördinatie van zorg, verpleegkundig
ondernemerschap, participeren in kwaliteitszorg en professioneel gedrag.
