USER INTERFACE DESIGN
Part A – Analysis of Current Website Content
1. Deficiencies in Meeting User and Stakeholder Needs
The current website content fails to adequately meet the needs of both users and
stakeholders, presenting several significant issues. A primary concern is the
absence of comprehensive information about the company itself. Apart from the
company name displayed at the top left of the homepage, there is no clear
explanation of the services offered, the company’s mission, or its expertise. This
omission undermines stakeholder interests by reducing the visibility of the
company’s offerings to potential customers and erodes user confidence, as visitors
cannot determine whether the business can meet their needs.
Another critical shortfall is the lack of accessible contact information. Users seeking
to engage with the company or inquire about services have no visible means of
communication, such as email addresses, phone numbers, or contact forms. This
gap negatively impacts stakeholders because potential business opportunities may
be lost, while users are left unable to obtain the support or services they are
searching for.
The website also fails to capture user-specific data, such as information about pet
owners or their pets. According to the company’s design specifications, a key
objective is to collect detailed user and pet information to personalize services and
improve engagement. By not implementing features to gather this data, the
website limits the company’s ability to tailor services and resources for individual
users. Consequently, stakeholders lose the opportunity to enhance customer
relationships and drive service uptake, while users cannot benefit from a more
personalized experience.
