Data generated from the analysis is quality assured though independent labs which will titrate the
solution in order to find out if the results match, which are then cross checked with other results to
ensure they are the same and ensure quality.
The lab supervisor will often introduce solutions of known concentration within testing sample
batches unknown to the workers in the lab to ensure that they are carrying out the procedure on
every sample and that they are doing it correctly. For example, a supervisor may introduce sample of
7.5% acid in a batch of testing samples which are normally 5% acid, the supervisor introduces these
so workers are doing their jobs correctly and so that they don’t just write down what the sample was
expected to be before testing it.
