Verhoogde bloedwaardes:
- BSE: bezinking, vaak ontsteking of carcinoom
- ALAT/ASAT: schade/afbraak van de levercellen
- Gamma-GT: functie van de lever
- Bilirubine: problemen met afvoer/aanmaak al
- Amylase: probleem met pancreas

Leveranatomie:




Leverpathologie:
- Focale leverafwijkingen: gefocuste afwijking (klein deel)
Tumoren: zelfde kenmerken als adenoom. HCC (hepatocellular carcinoma) komt meestal
voor bij hepatitis (B of C).
Adenoom: begint vaak goedaardig, maar kan kwaadaardig worden. Meestal echo-rijk.
Adenomen en tumoren zijn primaire levertumoren.
Metastasen: zijn secundaire levertumoren, komen ergens anders vandaan. Kunnen echo-rijk
en echo-arm zijn, maar meestal echo-arm bij longtumor en borsttumor. Echo-rijk vaak bij
coloncarcinoom.
Hemangiomen: goedaardig, afgegrensd, meestal echo-rijk.
Trombus: bloedprop in bijv. in de vena porta. Kan ook tumor zijn. Chronische klachten.
