1. What are the two important information learned this week that can be applied to the
interrelated concepts?
Two important information that I learned this week that can be applied to interrelated
concepts was about culture and communication.
2. Why are this information relevant or useful in my nursing education and future nursing career?
Starting with culture, this information is going to be relevant and useful in my education
and my future nursing career because it is going to be applied every day. It’s important to be
culturally congruent in nursing because this would ensure nurses to provide quality care based on
individuals’ cultural beliefs, their practices, and their values. According to Potter et al., (2023),
“professional health care must be culturally sensitive, culturally appropriate, and culturally
competent to meet the multifaceted health care needs of each person, family, and community.
There is the basic standard protocol that we must follow in scope of nursing practice, but there is
also cultural competence that we must be aware of as well. Patients’ needs to know that they are
valued and that there is no judgement when it comes to their beliefs. Communication is also
relevant and useful in my education as well as my nursing career because it is one of the most
important concepts in the health field. Communication will allow me to be to be competent and
maintain effective and trustful relationships with patients. Being a nurse isn’t just about taking
