- NYQUIST THEOREM:
- The sampling frequency must be at least twice the maximum frequency
you are trying to sample or…
- The maximum frequency you can reproduce, having done the sampling
already, will be half of your original sampling rate.
- You must always sample with a rate at least twice as fast as the highest
frequency you want to produce (nyquist theorem)
- Typically the number of bits per each sample in AUDIO is 16 bits (2^16) or
65,536 different possible levels.
- Steps is the horizontal line
- Bits is the vertical height.
- When there are insufficient samples… results may be unpredictable.
