, Purpose:

The purpose of this experiment was to teach the student how enzymes react with
different pH values under the same conditions. This experiment explained how
starch reacts with enzyme Amylase to produce a Maltose sugar and how
differences in pH affects the starch hydrolysis. The experiment will also allow the
students to recognize the optimal temperature and pH of the enzyme and its
differences with other samples at the end of the experiment.
