Arkansas Cosmetology State Law Exam PSI
Address Change - ANS-A) Must notify Department of Health no more than 30 days after move
committee - ANS-A) Made of 7 members
B) Each member serves 2 years
C) A member can serve no more than 10 years
D) Must be 25 years of age
E) Appointed by the State Board of Health
Duplicate License - ANS-A) report to state board loss of license
B) pay fee to receive a duplicate license and new license
C) duplicate license will have "DUPLICATE" across it
Electrologists - ANS-A) Must be 18 years old
B) Completed 12th grade of high school and electrology hours
C) Instructors must be 21 years of age and 3 years of active experience in electrology
Electrology Courses - ANS-One of two courses
a) 350 hours for two months
b) 600 hours for 6 months
Expirations - ANS-If more than one year after expiration it cannot be renewed
Instructor Course - ANS-A) Must be 21 years of age
B) Complete 3 years of active cosmetology
C) 600 hour program
D) Pass instructors exam
E) 8 hours of additional learning required
Licensing - ANS-A) required to pass a written, practical and law exam
B) required to pay fees and licensing fee
C) must have completed 2 years of high school and course training
D) Can be no less than 16 years old
Life Time License - ANS-A) must be 65 years or older of age
B) must have 30 years of active teaching in cosmetology
Mobile Salons - ANS-A) Began September 1st, 2017
B) Must Submit forms and fees to Cosmetolgy Technical Advissory Committee
C) Must be 24 ft in length
D) Licensed through the department of health
