Barney’s target demographic comprises mainly the wealthy middle class who are known to
notoriously spend huge amounts of money on luxurious commodities such as designer dresses,
suits, handbags, shoes, home décor, and designer furniture among other supplementary in high
fashion. For the male targets estimated at 49.7% of the total customer base, Barney’s targets are
predominantly Caucasians and Asians accounting for 63.1% and 28.2% respectively.
Psychological, Geographical, Behavioral
Psychographics: the main target of Barney’s persuasion tactics is mostly male executive who
enjoy travel and outdoor exotic activities. The class of men mostly spends their evenings in night
clubs. There are also women, with high disposable incomes.
