Why do you want to be a midwife? Correct Ans- I want to work as a
midwife to empower women and support them and their families
through such an incredible transition in their lives. I want to assist
throughout the whole journey and observe the female body as it makes
extraordinary changes and adapts in preparation for birth. I want to work
at the heart of the community and empower not only women in my
personal life but all women and those that I encounter in my career.

am used to managing my time effectively. Some techniques I have found
useful for doing this is creating timetables or lists to plan out my week
and ensure I get everything done as well as leaving me a sufficient
amount of time to rest and relax.
What appeals about this university (UEA) Correct Ans- UEA looks like
it has so much to offer from sports clubs, societies and support groups.
The campus is also beautiful and I could really see myself fitting in
their.
How would you deal with a still birth Correct Ans- I would be
compassionate with the family whilst also ensuring I effectively
communicate with them about the unfortunate situation that they are
, experiencing. I would also still show respect to the stillborn baby by
asking the parents what they have named he or she and refer to the baby
by the name given. I would ask the family if they wanted some alone
time with the baby as I am aware that not everyone is the same and they
may decide they need some time to gather thoughts and feelings before
doing so! I would then give them all the privacy they need and make it
my prime concern to ensure all their needs are met. I would also notify
the relevant health care professionals who needed to know this
information. Although I cannot completely understand what they're
going though having not experienced it myself, I can empathise with the
patient in such a painful time.

women's health care and want to empower women not only within my
personal life but also within my career. I want to be able to educate
women so that they can make informed choices (ones that are right for
them) about their bodies and how they wish for their birth to plan out. I
also want to learn from the women that I care for and really build a
relationship with each mother I come into contact with.

midwifery council is the regulator or nurses and midwifes in the uk!
They have registers of these professionals which ensures that they
perform to a standard that provides quality care. They set standards for
initial education and training, continuing professional development,
standards or professional practice and standards of personal conduct.
Nurses and midwives have to provide them with evidence of continued
learning in order to remain on the register.
