Test exam
In the fifth inning, Smith reports to the plate umpire to pinch-hit for Jones. The
plate umpire checks the lineup card and sees that Smith is not listed as a possible
substitute. The plate umpire will:

Bats that become broken, cracked or dented during the course of a play shall be
removed and:
