Introduction
As part of my report, I have been exploring and I will inform about the different types of
information and how they being used by businesses.
Communication is the way people exchange information with the purpose of transmitting or
receive a specific message to express what we want or need. In which the sender, the
receiver, and the feedback are founded. There are some types of communication in business
that help us to transmit information; these types are verbal, written, multimedia and web-
based information.
Written
Written communication is the way people use symbols such as the letters of the alphabet to
express the word’s sounds and transform them into ideas or thoughts to transmit a specific
type information for example facts and figures.
Saint Francis Xavier uses written information to give a clear messenger to the person they are
writing to, it is also used to get precise information or particular reference to something or
someone, for example SFX teachers use written communication, to send an email to a group
of students to inform they have to do and present an assignment during the last 2 week,
informing about the types of business, giving them exact details that can be remembered and
checked at any time, so the purpose of those teachers to use this way of communication is
to update the students’ knowledge, it is also an internal source because the email is referred
to students in SFX; It is also much easier than telling one by one. This other example associated
with internal sources could be, a SFX staff putting into a document the exact details of new
students getting into the school, so they can be recognized by their names when teachers call
they out or when they want to be attended by the school staff it updates SFX also provide
timetables in written format because the teachers or students can check at any time what
subject they will have next, this is much easier than try to remember all the times, rooms and
subjects in a day the purpose of this is to get to know each other in SFX.
Verbal
Verbal communication is the way people use speech to share and express information, this
type of communication is so important, having a lot of different languages that help us to
understand each other.
Verbal communication is used verbal to pass a message having less misunderstanding on the
conversation, SFX uses this type of communication to inform, give instructions or tell a person
information about a specific topic. For example, the teachers in SFX use verbal
communication to explain to a class a topic of a subject, with the purpose of giving to the
students a clear message that facilities the ability of understanding students. Non-verbal
communication is also used when verbal communication is used because of people, normally
use their hands and body to express when they talk to create an essence in the speech. This
