Marriott Hotel
What is a Stakeholder?
A stakeholder is a person with an interest or concern in something, especially a business.
Stake Holders for Marriott Hotel are: Staff; Customers (Most Important); competitors;
suppliers; shareholders; local community; government; managers; and Heathrow airport.
Why are Staff Stakeholders?
"Staff" is a part of stakeholders for Marriott hotel for the main reason which is their wage.
They profit from working at Marriott hotel so they would like to be reassured that they will
keep the wage that they are on or higher. Another reason behind why they are stake holder is
on account of they think about the notoriety on the organization and they would prefer not to
be working for an organization that has a terrible reputation. The staff would typically need to
work for an organization that has a decent reputation regardless whether the pay was the
same as an organization with a bad reputation. One more reason behind why they are stake
holder is because they need clients to return to the business with the goal that they keep their
job. If customer loyalty increases then this means that their job is more secure.
Why are Customers Stakeholders?
Customers are the most important stakeholder because of the fact that they a hotel is not a
necessity, it is an affordable luxury. This implies that if the clients would prefer not to go to
the hotel then the business won't profit and won't have the capacity to grow. All lodgings
need to work with customer needs, this implies they need to adjust to what the client needs.
For instance; a Television in their room, a mini fridge, room service and so forth. One of the
main reasons to why they are the most essential stakeholder is on due to the fact that without
clients, there is no business. There would be no motivating force to develop including the fact
that they are not able to profit, the business would not have a reason if there were no clients.
Why is the Local Community a Stakeholder?
The local community is a stock holder because Marriott hotel increase the amount of jobs in
the area in terms of them needing staff which lowers the amount of people not working
within the area. Another variable on why they are a stock holder is because they increase the
reputation of the area. By this I mean that the area will have more people wanting to go there
because of a certain tourist attraction. If a small hotel that didn’t have the same reputation
was where Marriott hotel is, the hotel wouldn’t get many customers. Tourist attractions
usually bring richer people to the area so this increases the value of the houses in that area.
For example, a house by a good school would be more expensive because it is next to an
attraction but at the same time the house value could decrease due to there being lots of noise
in the morning.
Why is a Competitor a Stakeholder?
There are lots of different hotels and they are all competitors of Marriott hotel. Other hotels
are stakeholders because they are interested in the prices and the services that Marriott
provide, this makes them a stakeholder.
