The organization in which I chose to evaluate was Verizon Wireless. Verizon is one of the largest communication technology companies in the world. As an employee, it’s my duty to help this great company operate America’s largest 4G LTE wireless network and the nation’s premiere all-fiber broadband network. Our current CEO and Chairman is Lowell C. McAdam. He is currently responsible for roughly 173,300 employees in over 150 countries, and 2700 cities nationwide (Verizon At A Glance, 2014). Verizon has been a Fortune 100 company for years and as of this year moved up from the number 15 spot to 13 in 2016. Another wonderful fact about Verizon Wireless is that it ranks #1 in the top 5 wireless telecommunications facilities-based service providers by subscriber count in the United States, with 141.4 million customers, followed by AT&T with 131.8 million, then at a distant 3rd, T-Mobile with 67.4 million, followed by Sprint and U.S. Cellular respectively.
