Acute Decompensated Heart Failure (ADHF), is a condition that occurs in individuals with pre-existing heart failure. It refers to a worsening of symptoms due to fluid retention (volume overload). ADHF also cause fatigues which makes an individual unable to perform activities of daily living thereby affecting their quality of. Mrs. J complains of feeling exhausted and anxious is associated with the body not receiving enough oxygen-rich blood due to the heart’s ineffective pumping.
