Assignment 1
Find og skriv fire forskellige verballed i passiv i fire forskellige tider.
Skriv for hvert verballed, hvilken tid det står i.
Forklar kort, hvordan man danner passiv på engelsk. Inddrag alle eksemplerne
i din forklaring.
linje verballed i passiv tid
1 1. Are celebrated Præsens
2 4. Have been reconstructed Perfektum
3 6. Were put Præteritum
4 9. Had been constructed pluskvamperfektum
Forklaring:
In passive verbs, the focus lays on what is happening, rather than the subject who acts.
For example, in the first passive verb, ’are celebrated’:
’but his creativity and quirks are still celebrated’ – here it is his quirks and creativity,
that is in focus, and not him, as the subject. – that makes it passive.
It is also seen in the next example with: ’have been reconstructed’, where the object is
the thing, the sentence is about, but this time it is in perfektum, which is something,
that has happened.
The use of ’were’ makes it a past-tense, where the focus also lies on the object.
The last one is also passive, because of the construction of the sentence, where
something (the Disney lot/object) is acting, or had acted (had been constructed).
