A. Reflections of Clifton Strengths Assessment
Input
My first Clifton Strengths signature theme is Input. People with the input strength
typically are known to gather or collect things. In taking this assessment it has caused me to
look deeper into how I do things and what I do. It has brought me to a realization that I typically
research and learn about things prior to jumping into a project, a meeting, a discussion, or
decision about anything. I analyze things and sometimes over-analyze. However, I do
appreciate what others have to say about a subject.
People with this trait are also known to enjoy sharing ideas, exchanging information, or
stories. As I am reading and writing on this subject, it makes me realize that I have done this for
as long as I can remember. I collaborate with people when I am working on projects. I am
always looking for collaboration. I like to give input on a subject, but I also like to hear what
other team members have to say about it. Doing this allows for clarifying questions or
explanations for myself and others involved. Thus, helping other team members to feel
important, needed, and useful on projects.
People with trait additionally, have an ability to picture the new ideas that are being
presented or written about. In reflecting on my experiences, I realize that I tend to want to
envision what is being told or described to me. If someone is describing a revolutionary piece of
equipment or design of their dream home, it starts to come to life in my eyes. I see the floor
plan or the machine and what it can do. Once I see those ideas start to come to life it brings
