3. A crate containing a tool weighs 13 pounds. If the tool weighs 9 pounds,

ounces= We know the crate weighs 12 pounds and 12 pounds equals 11
pounds, 16 ounces. The weight of the tool is 9 pounds, 9 ounces. So 11
pounds, 16 ounces minus 9 ounces equals 2 pounds, 7 ounces
