You must compile your Take Home Exam and submit it online as a PDF document (Adobe
Acrobat). Please read the instructions carefully and answer each question in as much detail as
possible. Answer all the questions.
Remember to sign the declaration of original work.
This is an examination, not an assignment. Once you have submitted your Take-Home Exam, there
can be no requests to resubmit. The only exception is if your document got corrupted during the transfer,
we will contact you and ask you to resend it. Keep a backup copy on your system until your marks have
been finalized. This contact, if it is ever needed, will happen via your myLife e-mail account only.
The cover page should contain:
1. your full name and surname
2. your student numbers
3. the module codes
4. the word "Take-Home Exam"
5. a declaration of original work
Please note that this examination will be administered on the myExams platform and that the
use of the Invigilator App is compulsory.

Additional student instructions
1. Students must upload their answer scripts as a single PDF file. (Answer scripts must not
be password protected or uploaded as read-only files.)
2. NO e-mailed scripts will be accepted.
3. Students are advised to preview their submissions (answer scripts) to ensure that they
are legible and that the correct answer script file has been uploaded.
4. Students are NOT permitted to resubmit their answer scripts should their initial
submission be unsatisfactory.
5. Incorrect file formats and uncollated answer scripts will not be considered.
6. Incorrect answer scripts and/or submissions made on unofficial examinations platforms
(including the invigilator cell phone application) will not be marked and no opportunity will
be granted for resubmission.
7. The mark awarded for an incomplete submission will be your final mark. No opportunity
for resubmission will be granted.
8. The mark awarded for an illegible scanned submission will be your final mark. No
opportunity for resubmission will be granted.
9. Only submissions from registered student accounts will be accepted.
10. Students who have not utilized invigilation or proctoring tools will be subjected to
disciplinary processes.
11. Students suspected of dishonest conduct during the examination will be subjected to
disciplinary processes. UNISA has zero tolerance for plagiarism and/or any other forms
of academic dishonesty.
12. Students have (30) thirty minutes after the official examination time to submit their answer
scripts. Submissions made after one hour will be rejected in terms of the examination
regulations and will not be marked.
13. Students experiencing network challenges or load shedding are advised to apply for an
aegrotat within three (3) days of the examination session by furnishing supporting
evidence.
