You work in a research and development lab. Your supervisor
has decided it is time for you to manage your own project. You
will choose an investigative project based on advice from your
Vocational Scenario (or supervisor and your own interest within the field of chemistry,
Vocational Context) biology or physics. You will present a project proposal to your
supervisor. Your presentation will be supported by notes in a
logbook.
Task 1: Task 1 You must decide upon an investigative project with your
supervisor (tutor), producing an appropriate project proposal.
You will undertake a literature search and review for your
investigation and your project will be based upon this. You will
record your literature review, analysis and evaluation in a
logbook. You will also include your proposal in the logbook, with
the hypothesis and any potential limitations of your
investigations.
You will present your project plan proposal to your tutor. It
should include:
the hypothesis you are to investigate
a rationale for the area of study
Results of a literature search and review into your chosen
area of study. You will analyse the results of this search
and discuss its relevance to your project proposal.

The consideration of more than one method of
