Good Day Everyone,
Welcome to HSS Hire Uxbridge. I am Mandeep Chana, the manager of this
branch of HSS. My aim today is to have a discussion and conversation with you,
our customers about the concerns that have aroused amongst you. It has been
brought to my attention that our customers have some concerns in which I will
address today. It has been noted that customers are feeling unsafe with their
personal data in our organization. I am hoping that by the end, I would have
reassured you and put your minds at ease. Here at HSS Hire, we have many
policies that ensure that the personal information of our customers is secure and
safe for we are aware of the many harms and danger your life can be in if we do
not abide by these policies.
There are many laws in which the government has put in position to
ensure your safety as well such as the Companies Act 2006 and the General
Data Protection Regulations 2018. In these acts, it is stated how a company
should function in terms of the personal data of their customers. It is stated in
the General Data Protection Regulations Act that the data of customers must be
used fairly, lawfully and transparently, used for specific purposes, must be
accurate and kept up to date, kept no longer than necessary and handled in a
way that ensures appropriate security. This act became stricter for businesses
when handling large volumes of personal data. Maintaining strong data security
has always been a key commitment at HSS Hire and during this year, we have
introduced a variety of new initiatives to ensure that was a priority in the minds
of all of our branches.
At our organization, we personally have different policies in which every
member has to abide by in terms of your personal data. Under our Privacy
Policy, which can be found online at our website, it informs customers about how
we use your data, when such data is collected, what type of data we collect from
you, whom your data is shared with, data security, data retention and your rights
as a customer with your data. Your information is stored safely in our systems for
there is a process in which all companies have to follow when processing your
data into their systems. Our current IT Systems has been fully reviewed to
ensure that is it the best. Disaster recovery tests are carried out on a regular
basis. Firewalls are in place to protect against malicious attempts. Penetration
testing is also carried out on a regular basis to detect any weaknesses in our IT
and cyber security and software’s have been implemented to identify any
malicious attack or attempts to down personal data.
