• Computers can repeatedly perform tasks 100% accurately with correct software.

Reliability
• Computers are accurate and don't tire like humans.
• Computerized solutions require long development time and are expensive.
• In the long term, computerized solutions are cost effective.
• Computerized solutions are chosen for their efficiency.

Communication
• Computers enable us to communicate globally and effectively.
• Distance is no longer a limitation in the business world.
• ICT offers various communication methods and saves on costs.
• Social networks enable global social interaction.
• Computers offer economic benefits, entertainment and fun.

Types of computer systems
• Comparison factors for computers include power, usage, size and software.
• Computers are divided into non-portable and portable computers.
• Non-portable computers are large and more powerful.
• Non-portable computers can be desktops or servers.
• Desktop computers have different configurations and prices.
• A server is a powerful computer that provides services to a network.

What is an entry level computer?
• All computer types have an entry-level model with low hardware specifications.

• Smartphone: Mobile phone with operating system and apps, touch screen interface.
• Phablet: Smartphone with screen larger than 5".

Categories of users
• Computer specifications depend on the needs of the user.
• Types of users include general, mobile and super users.
• Official definitions and descriptions of the different types of users.

Personal user
• Personal users: office, internet, e-mail, social networks, Skype, photos, entertainment.
• Basic computers are powerful enough.

SOHO user
• SOHO users: accounting, databases, electronic documentation, planning.
• Architects and engineers: powerful computers for plan design.

Superuser
• Power users require powerful hardware and software.
• This includes game enthusiasts, architects, engineers, video editors and scientists.
• They require fast processors and large amounts of memory and storage capacity.
• Superusers use all advanced features of the software they work on.

Mobile user
• Mobile users are not necessarily a separate category.
• They just want to take their devices with them wherever they go.
• Every category can now use mobile technology.
• The technology used depends on the purpose of the user.
• Laptops for productive and work-related tasks.
• Smartphones and tablets for internet, e-mail, games, GPS, notes, photos and recordings.

Convergence
• Convergence: different technologies and functions are merged into one device.
• Smartphone and tablet: combination of various technologies in one device.
• One device for multiple tasks without carrying multiple devices.
