give you an idea of the type of questions that will be asked in the written exam.
1. a) Describe the different initial conditions (in terms of GDP and price policies) that the
Former Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, Africa and East Asia had before economic and
political liberalization took place.
b) How did Agircultural Output evolve after liberalization in each region?
c) Explain vertical coordination and how the private sector took over vertical
coordination of supply chains after liberalization. Did this happen in the same way for
all regions?
