This document is filled with all of my notes as an IB Chemistry HL student where many topics are summarised in 1-2 pages with the most important parts except fro chapter 10 and option D which required a bit more due to their elevated importance in paper 2 and 3. This has helped me study for my final exam and has gotten me a 6 in HL Chemistry in DP 1 so I do hope it will help you as well.

These notes encompass all of the information necessary for a student studying Option D of IB Chemistry. Every topic from D.1 - D.9 is included in these notes with detail on every aspect.

Everything necessary to know how to identify the structure of a molecule (ex, including mass spectrometry), the different types of errors, and the index of hydrogen deficiency etc.

This includes all of the most important information of all of organic chemistry such as synthetic routes, functional groups, nitration of benzene, chlorination of benzene (etc). This includes diagrams and steps for the explanations.

These 3 pages mainly explain: oxidation & reduction, activity series, redox titration, the winkler method, standard hydrogen electrode, electrochemical cells spontaneous reactions, electroplating, electrochemical cells, cell potential equitations, electrolytic cells, electrolysis of aqueous solutions, and quantitative electrolysis. This also includes half equations and diagrams.

Includes all of the explanations of for example buffer’s, lewis theory, strong bases, bronsted-lowry acids & bases (etc). These notes also include the formula’s/ways to calculate values with the IB asks for. There is also all of the formulas of acid deposition also included. Some graphs are also included to demonstrate understanding.

These two pages include how to calculate the equilibrium constant, information n the reaction quotient, Le chatelier’s principle, catalysts & equilibrium, the relationship between Gibbs’s free energy & equilibrium constant. In addition, information regarding, the rate of reaction rate equation, order of reaction, rate determining step, and Arrhenius equation are also described along with formulas and graphs.

These two pages include all of the definitions of each standard enthalpy change, including key enthalpy terms, the born hater cycle, entropy, Gibbs’s free energy, spontaneous reactions, and exothermic and endothermic reactions. These pages include how to calculate such enthalpy’s.

This page mainly encompasses orbitals including pi & sigma bonds including how to identify then and their definitions. These notes also discuss formal charges, how to determine hybridisation (sp…), the shapes of molecules (mainly HL shapes), and reasons as structures.

This page encompasses all of the patterns in the periodic table including the: atomic radius, ionic radius, ionisation energy, electron affinity, electronegativity, metallic characteristics, oxides for Chapter 3. For Chapter 13, all of the characteristics of transition metals are described.

This page is a main summary on the different terms and orbitals discussed in chapter 2 & 12 including all of the laws and exceptions and energy levels (especially in chapter 12).
