Cardiology
B.Sc Nursing students study cardiology to: Understand the anatomy and physiology of the heart and circulatory system. Recognize signs and symptoms of cardiac diseases like chest pain, dyspnea, edema, or palpitations. Learn about common cardiac disorders such as hypertension, coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction, heart failure, arrhythmias, and rheumatic heart disease. Gain skills in cardiac assessment — including pulse, blood pressure, ECG interpretation, and auscultation of heart sounds. Assist in cardiac investigations and procedures (e.g., ECG, echocardiography, angiography).
