General
1. The Faculty’s Teaching and Examina on Regula ons, the UM Rules and Guidelines, the Rules of
Procedure and the Code of Order apply to this exam.
2. During the exam, switch o your electronic devices other than the laptop/pc used to write the
exam. You cannot communicate, electronically or otherwise, with anyone else during the
exam. We will check your submi ed answers for plagiarism very thoroughly. The an -plagiarism
so ware is ac vated and will check for correspondence between the answers submi ed by all
students. Suspected cases of plagiarism will be reported to the FASoS Board of Examiners.
3. A transla on dic onary is allowed during the exam
4. Since the exam is an open book exam, you are allowed to use the EU Trea es, knowledge clip
slides, your own notes, the coursebook, the case law discussed during knowledge clips and
tutorials and the handbook to solve the exam.
5. Write your answers in complete and gramma cally correct English sentences.

6. The exam will be made available through the module ‘Take home exam’ on the course site on
Canvas.
7. The exam will become available on the day of the exam at 14h00 sharp (Maastricht me).
8. Fill out and upload your exam in doc or docx format. Other formats will not be accepted. Make
sure to periodically save your progress.
9. Put your student ID number in the header.
10. You have two hours to write the exam and upload it as an assignment on the course site on
Canvas. Students en tled to extra me will be granted 30 minutes extra me and will have two
and a half hours to upload the exam. Make sure your exam was properly uploaded before
qui ng your laptop/pc.
11. For each ques on (and answer) use a new page.

12. The exam consists of three ques ons, all of which you must answer. For the rst two ques ons, 7
points can be scored (3.5 on each ques on). The third ques on is graded on two points.
13. In case you experience di culty/impossibility to upload the exam within the deadline due to
