One way of evaluating personal impact on the environment is through calculating the ecological footprint, which measures the demand placed on nature in relation to its capacity to regenerate resources and absorb waste (Wackernagel & Beyers, 2019). This reflection seeks to assess my personal ecological footprint, analyse what the results reveal about my consumption patterns, and consider how this relates to broader ethical responsibilities. The purpose of this exercise is not only self-awareness but also to integrate sustainability concepts with ethical theories in order to evaluate individual and collective responsibilities towards the planet. Part A: Reflection on My Ecological Footprint After completing the ecological footprint calculator exercise, I was confronted with a result that indicated my lifestyle requires significantly more natural resources than the Earth can sustainably provide. The assessment estimated that if everyone lived like me, it would take multiple planets to support the global population. This was an unsettling discovery because it demonstrates that my daily consumption habits such as reliance on non-renewable energy, high levels of waste generation, and frequent use of private transport are unsustainable in
