, 1. 0 Introduction
The proposed site for the development of a new industrial facility is located in Centurion, South
Africa. The buildings will require excavations of approximately 6 meter below natural ground
level, since a basement level for storage purposes, will be constructed. The coordinates of the
centre (Point A) are 25˚49’57.62”S 28˚06’57.47”E.

Point A is approximately 294.26 metres from Hennops river. The Hennops river is one of the
larger rivers that drains Gauteng, South Africa. It has its source near Kempton Park, east
of Johannesburg and meets the Crocodile River shortly before Hartbeespoort Dam.1
