To be conducted by the teacher-examiner or by the visiting examiner between 8 April and 24 May 2024.
Time allowed: 12–14 minutes (excluding 15 minutes’ preparation time at the start of the test)
Instructions
• The contents of this Booklet must be treated as strictly confidential until the end of the test window.
• Candidates must not use a dictionary at any time during this test. This includes the preparation time.
• During the 15 minutes’ preparation time, candidates are required to prepare two of the four stimulus cards
given to them. Candidates will be asked to choose their first card from two on one sub-theme and then they
must choose one of the other two cards which you give to them.
• Candidates may make notes during the preparation time only on the Additional Answer Sheet provided.
They must not write on the cards.
• Candidates should take the stimulus cards with them into the examination room. They may refer to the cards
and any notes they have made at any time during the test.
• Candidates should hand the stimulus cards and the Additional Answer Sheet to you at the end of the test.
Information
• The test will last between 12 and 14 minutes and will consist of two stimulus cards (6–7 minutes each).
• You will ask the questions exactly as they are printed on the cards and may ask follow-up questions to
develop the discussion of the sub-themes.
• You will give a brief response to any questions which the candidate asks you during the discussion.
• If the candidate does not ask a question, you will invite the candidate to ask a question before the end of the
discussion of the sub-theme.
• To develop the discussion of the sub-themes, candidates will be expected to respond to questions and discuss
in Spanish broader issues within the sub-themes on the cards.

Independizarse de los padres
Según un informe, los jóvenes españoles abandonan el hogar familiar cada vez más tarde. Así, en Madrid se
marchan con unos 30 años, mientras que en el País Vasco lo hacen con casi 40 años.
Para poder comprar una vivienda, un joven tendría que ganar unos 1.800 euros al mes, un sueldo que la mayoría
no tiene.
El Gobierno español ofrece pocas ayudas, pero algunas regiones, como Cataluña, dan créditos para que los
jóvenes puedan independizarse.
