1.2 Problem Formulation
The issue of trauma among women living in urban communities has become increasingly

areas. Urban communities, while offering opportunities for economic and social
advancement, also present environments where women are often exposed to higher risks
of traumatic events such as street violence, domestic abuse, and gang-related activities.
The pervasive nature of these traumatic experiences necessitates an in-depth exploration
of their impact on women's mental health and well-being. This study aims to investigate
the types of traumatic incidents that women in urban communities face, the immediate
and long-term psychological effects of these experiences, and the coping mechanisms
