Communication on the internet is held through social media nowadays. For a business
like Media Markt it is very important for them to be active on social media. Everybody
uses the internet to communicate through social media; it is used a lot and is a very
effective way of communication. You can reach a lot of people at the same moment in a
short amount of time. Media Markt is active on different social media platforms, namely;
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and on YouTube. These social media platforms are
usually used by the customers of Media Markt; Media Markt needs to post short
messages about their company and their products. This is how Media Markt can build a
relationship with the customer. A service like answering questions on social media will
increase the relationship with the customers as well.

Media Markt has different ways to promote their company and their products. They
make commercials, they have billboards and promote in magazines. Social media is
also a great way to promote to promote the products and give information about the
company. The main thing they promote in their commercials is special offers for their
products, they show for what product the special offer is activated, what the temporarily
price is and for how long the special offer is available. A new product that will be
launched will also be announced by the company in its commercials and other
communication platforms.

Services of companies improved a lot over the past couple of years. They deliver the
purchased product at your home for example and nowadays a company always has its
customer service where you can ask your questions. Media Markt charge you €1,99 per
purchase, but when the total purchase price is higher than €20,- the product will be
delivered for free. Media Markt also offers a service to track and trace your order. As
soon as Media Markt has completed the purchase from the customer you receive a track
and trace number, you can see where the delivery truck is driving and what its progress
is, they also estimate the time the package will be delivered at your house.
