Question One: People Cults Target Even though the majority of humans are vulnerable to joining cults, cult members have specific people they target. According to the lecture, cults are likely to target individuals that are stressed or emotionally vulnerable, those living in unfriendly socio-economic conditions, and those who lack family ties. Such individuals make the best targets because they are always available and require a surrounding different from what they are used to; to drive them away from their normal
lives. Such people would not hesitate to join a cult. Cults avoid recruiting unpredictable people—
like mentally ill people—because they desire individuals that are not only stable but also can work for the cult consistently. As a college student, my chances of being targeted into a cult are 6
on a scale of 1 to 10. The major reason is because I have been separated from my family for a long—reason being to pursue my studies—so I can easily fall into the chains of another family. Question Two: Panopticon
