Florida Real Estate Exam Chapter 2 Caveat emptor ️Let the buyer beware RE license law ️1923. Chapter 475 of the Florida statutes. Passed by the Florida legislature. 3 regulatory bodies ️DBPR (over many industries) DRE (Real estate) FREC DRE ️Division of RE provides support services to the commission. It's under the Department of Business and Regulation. Sales associate ️Beginning of RE career. Performs RE services for compensation, but who does so under the direction, control, or management of a broker or owner developer. Application requirements ️Must be completed carefully to disclose anything relaed to moral turpitude or fraud. Felonies, misdemeanors and traffic offenses (except parking, speeding, inspection or traffic signal violations). Finger prints must be submitted to the FDLE and the FBI. Non-resident applicant requirements ️US citizenship not required. Must have SS #. A Fl RE Licensee who moves out of state must notify the commission within 60 days. Fl RE licensee move ️Out of state 60 day commission notification In state 10 day commission notification Mutual recognition ️Not reciprocity! Moving to one of 8 states, requires an application and a 40 question state applicable test. Al, Ark,Ct, Ga, IN, Miss, Nebr, Oklahoma. Florida resident ️A person who has resided in fl continuously for 4 months or more within the preceding year. Could reside in Rec. Vehicle, hotel, rental unit or other temp or permanent location. Sales associate qualifications for licensure ️Be 18 or older HS diploma or equal SS# Be honest, truthful, trustworthy, of good character and have a eruption for fair dealing Be competent and qualified to make RE transactions and conduct negotiations with safety to investors and others Application disclosures ️Charges of moral turpitude and fraud. Aliases. Any denial, suspension or revocation of license in this or any other state or nation. If ever found guilty of any conduct or practice that would have been grounds for the above. Includes acting as an RE licensee or broker. Pre RE licensing education ️Sales associate Course 1 60 hours plus 3 hr end of course exam. 45 Q on principles and practice, 45 Q on RE law, 10 Q on math. Applicant (also broker applicant) applies for state licensing exam. Post licensing education ️Sales assoc must requalify with 45 hr post licensing class before the first renewal of their license.
