Health Service Operatons Management (HSOM): The analysiss designs planning and control of all the steps
necessary to deliver services to clients in healthcare.
Unit – Process – Network
Unit: A department in a health organizaton that performs operatons
of the same operaton type
Process: Series of operatons that need to be performed to produce a
partcular service
Network: Combinaton of units and chains performing operatons for
services for several groups of clients
Develipmeot if the research feld
From 1800: moving from agriculture towards manufacturing towards service economy (for epample
Disneyland or McDonalds).
