In this assignment I will describe and show examples of how the internet is used by
selected, contrasting businesses.
Public sector: The part of national economy providing basic goods or services that are
either not, or cannot be, provided by the private sector. It consists of national and local
governments, their agencies, and their chartered bodies.

The University of Derby have used the internet to help the public by giving them
accurate information about what they offer. They provide the public of information
about courses and subjects they teach. In addition they also provide what grades and
requirements the public must have to enter the university. This information can be
accessed anytime online so the public will always know where to find it if they need it.
This website is beneficial to people who want to further their education.
