at least 2-3 years afer I leave college. I must meet the needs
set in order to teach children.

In order to qualify to apply for the PGCE Primary Programme
at St Mary's University College all applicants must already have
a C grade or above (at Ordinary level) or a D grade or above (at
Higher level) in all three subjects. With regards to the Science,
the subject studied must be Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
Home Economics and Agricultural Science at Leaving
Certficate level is not recognised as be being a science subject.
Science studied up to Junior Cert level is not sufcient.
Observaton in a primary school. Applicants are expected to
have organised and undertaken a minimum of 2 weeks recent
school observaton in a primary school.
Physical and mental fitness to teach.
